My day included breakfast in bed made by the kid, who is clearly now the best cook in the house. Then she went off with some friends and I soaked in the bathtub, which is one of my favorite things to do. Then even though it was late, and even though gas is $3 a gallon, and even though it wasn’t the smart thing to do, we threw caution to the wind and went to the beach
Along with half of NJ – BOY was it crowded!
When we came home I got this – a Mother’s Day cake complete with flaming hair. I know a blogger who always threatens to set her hair on fire after receiving stupiditiy laden emails, but didn’t know the Kid was a devotee…
Edited to add – yes the red candle looks like a cigarette, but the Kid assures me it was meant to be a tongue. Although why my tongue would be on fire I have no idea. But one shouldn’t question art I suppose, even if it is covered in pink frosting!
Here’s to throwing caution to the wind!!! – Rina
