No, not Avon calling, but bags of yarn that are the result of my little “please buy my designs” hustle at TNNA. I had thought that I would have a little time to work on other projects before I had to get going on samples. I thought wrong…
First came this yarn – we hadn’t decided on the tan or the wine colorway, but I love the wine so we went with that. Here’s the stitch pattern – of course I can’t tell you what it will be or for whom until we get a little closer to the pub date, but you know I will keep you posted…
Then this lovely box of cream and yellow goodness arrived. It wants to be a top for a magazine when it grows up, and it wants to grow up FAST! So this is what I will be working on this week. You know, in between writing two books and two magazine articles that are also due soon.
This morning’s email brought notices that two more boxes of yarn have been shipped, thankfully I have a contract crocheter standing by for one of those projects and the other one is relatively brainless, so that shouldn’t make me too crazy – yet…
Also on the writing front, if you have any interest in the Jersey Shore (and who doesn’t? It’s beautiful!) buzz on over to Down The Shore with Jen , a blog by the lovely and talented writer Jen A Miller. In which I manage to turn an interview about lighthouses into a conversation about the knitting book. Sometimes I worry about how shameless I actually am….
Love the stitch pattern… can’t wait to learn what it is!
