Dit Dah Blanket Square

This 12” square for a baby blanket is made in the Dots and Dashes knitting pattern. There are a lot of patterns in the world with that title though, so I was trying to think of something different.

My father served in WWII as a telegraph operator. He used to talk about how he learned the short tap was a dit and a long tap was a dah. He even had terrible telegrapher jokes that were among his dad jokes file. So I give to you the Dit Dah square!

This square is part of the Sweet Summer Baby Banket KAL sponsored by KAL Corner and Vinnis Colours.

Finished Size: 12”” square. This would also make it a fine dish- or wash-cloth.

Materials:

2 skeins of Vinnis Colours Nikkim (DK weight/CYCA 3 Light), 1 each in Bottle Green (MC) and Avocado (CC) Nikkim has 130 yds per skein and is 100% cotton

Optional: Large bobbin
