Learn how to crochet this choker that can be made in an hour!
I have been wanting to design some more crocheted jewelry and found these luscious glass beads in my bead stash! Paired up with 1/8” leather lacing, it gives a quick project with loads of texture and depth.

Finished Size:
15” not including the ties – you can lengthen or shorten by adding or subtracting stitches before the first bead stitch
Materials:
1 spool Realeather Craft Lace 1/8” Deerskin. You could also use the suede, but I liked the deerskin because it is softer and more flexible
5 glass barrel beads with large openings – mine are 5/8” wide but anything between ½” and ¾” should work.
Crochet hook size K/10.5/6.5mm or size needed to work comfortably for you – gauge doesn’t really matter here!
Notes:
This really only works with foundation single crochet (Fsc) – chaining and turning is too bulky!
Abbreviations:
Bfsc – bead foundation single crochet
Ch – chain
Fsc – foundation single crochet
Sl st – slip stitch
Choker
First pre-string your five beads onto your leather lacing. Place your starting slip knot on your hook approx 12” from cut end.
Row 1: Ch 2, 10 fsc, (bfsc, fsc) twice, bfsc, 10 fsc, fasten off leaving a 12” tail. Do not turn.
Place another slip knit on your hook approximately 12” from cut end.
Row 2: Sl st in each st across, fasten off leaving a 12” tail
Finishing:
Tie the two tails on each side together with an overhand knot.
The end! Wear with pride.
