Yum, Corriedale singles….Yes I have succumbed to the lure of the spinning wheel even though I have more pressing matters at hand. I haven’t had it out since before Christmas, and when the following came in the mail….
What could I do but spin? And spin….and spin… thank God it is only 3 ounces. This is a luscious Corriedale batt from Zarzuela’s Fibers. This is my first experience with a batt and I am loving it – and the color does such gorgeous things I can’t get over it. Ms. J is a genius if my spinning looks this good!
Lookie what else I made!
The new book is in my hands, sort of. This is the galley set – all the pages laid out in order as they will be in the book, but not bound yet. I get one last read through to see if there are any small changes I need to make – typos and the like. Trying not to re-write the whole thing as it’s a little late in the game for that. This is the third time I have done edits on this book – and by the time I read anything I have written straight through a bunch of times I hate it all Always. And then a few weeks go by and I like it again – about the time I have to started doing readings and signings. But here is the firsty first peek – just for you guys.
LL has strep – again. They decided to go with the serious anti-biotics this time. Apparently they are so serious that the cost about ten times what the last round did! I almost had a heart attack at the drug store. Luckily LL is off from school next week so she can zone out and rest. Thank God she likes to crochet now so can keep herself amused while camped out on the couch!
