Enjoy this Tunisian crochet daisy pattern – it took me a while to figure it out but the math is mathing and you can use any weight yarn with an appropriate hook and it will still work!

Materials: Small amounts of two colors of yarn and an appropriate size crochet hook. For the models shown in the photos and video I used a light worsted cotton and an F/5/3.75mm crochet hook.
Optional: Locking stitch marker.
Note:
All of the Tunisian crochet rows take a joined standard return pass as shown in Row 1; only the forward passes are written out after that.
Special Stitches:
TSSdec – Tunisian Simple Stitch decrease – insert hook through 2 verticals bars as one, yo, draw through both loops.
Center:
With A, begin with a magic ring.
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in ring. Place marker in first st of rnd and move up for the subsequent rnds if desired. 5 sc
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. 10 sc
Rnd 3: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) 5 times. Sl st in next sc. 15 sc
Petal:
With B, ch 5.
Row 1 forward: TSS beginning in 2nd ch from hook. 5 TSS
Row 1 and all remaining rows return: Insert hook in designated sc, yo and draw through that sc and first loop on hook, *yo, draw through 2 loops on hook. Rep from * until only 1 loop remains.
NOTE ON JOINING: Each petal has 9 Tunisian rows and involves 3 sc on the round center. Rows 1 – 3 join in the first of 3 sc, Rows 4 – 6 join in the next sc, Rows 7 – 9 join in the last sc.
Row 2 forward: Ch 1, sk ch, TSS in first vertical bar (that you would skip if working even) and in each TSS across. 6 TSS
Rows 3 – 5: Rep Row 2. 9 TSS after Row 5
Row 6 forward: TSS across. 9 TSS
Row 7 forward: TSSdec (see Special Stitches), TSS across. 8 TSS
Rows 8 – 9 forward: Rep Row 7. 6 TSS after Row 9.
Row 10 forward: Working through vertical bars as if to TSS, sl st 2 together, sl st across, sl st in next sc of Center.
Work four more Petals as you did the first one. End off and weave in ends.
