You know those little white oval bumper stickers with abbreviations of cool places on them? They seem to be everywhere – I know you have seen one if you ever travel by car. So I am toodling around my small town this morning and I spot one that says SSK. And of course I thought, “There is a town called Slip Slip Knit? Cool – I want to go there!”
So can anyone tell me where SSK might be? Or what it could actually mean, because I am pretty sure that if there really was a town called Slip Slip Knit I would have heard about it before now…
I’ve seen those for sale at Stitches in years past – I’m pretty sure you spotted a knitter!
If I see one at MDS&W this weekend, I’ll grab it for you. 🙂
They DO have SSK (slip slip knit) ones out there… I think Scout’s Swag site has them!
Thanks for this post! I just spotted an SSK in Missoula MT and thought, thats gotta be a knitter!
I think it’s a left-leaning knitter.
Ha!
