Why is she Gertrude? She just is 🙂
Gertrude is knit with two colors of Beautiful You from Lion Brand Yarns, although you could do it with one skein if you prefer. Knit in the round from the bottom up, the fancy stitch pattern alternates sections of lace with small cable panels, and is made to be worn slouched. It’s a perfect item to knit and wear for the spring and summer!

Can you please explain the needle size? 3/3.25mm and 5/3.75mm , is this 3 or 3 1/4 and 5 or 5 3/4 also what ply is the wool?.

US size before the / mm size after. I clarified it on the post. And thanks for catching the missing yarn info! It’s sport weight, CYCA 2, Fine.
I cast on the required amount of stitches with sport weight yarn and it was not enough stitches to make the cable needles workable. Dread using double points. Any suggestions?
