I had a blast crocheting “spider webs” from black yarn and metallic thread and using them to decorate this cute snack set with parts from the dollar store. Use the big bowl to serve snacks like chips or popcorn and give each guest their individual matching cup!

Spiders – make 5 for set as shown or as many as you want!
Cut 2 chenille stems in half so you have 4 6” stems.
Wind a strand of the black yarn around the center 4 – 5 times, leaving a tail at the beginning. Cut yarn leaving a long tail. Tie the two tails together in a double knot and trim close.
Glue the tied stems to the center back of a pom pom.
Glue the two googly eyes into place.
Finishing:
Glue each crocheted piece into place as follows – run a line of glue around the first sc round and center it on the bottom of the bowl to glue into place, then glue the top round of sc around the lip of the bowl or cup.
Glue each spider into place.
Very cute pattern. I am confused with the snack bowl row 2. Skipping row 2 of the cup means no double crochet to do fpdc and would then be 18 DC instead of 9. You would have to skip a stitch right? Let me know please.
