This bed runner is very quick to make up in Super Bulky yarn, and since it is crocheted from short side to short side it’s easily adjusted in length to suit the size of your mattress.
The stitch pattern makes staggered diamond shapes by alternating triangles of mesh with triangles of double crochet.
Using a plush yarn like Bernat Blanket Twist makes it warm as well as pretty!

Weave in ends.
Optional:
If desired you can finish the long side edges with a row of Crab Stitch/Reverse Single Crochet. I thought my edges looked neat enough so the sample in the photo does not have that.
Fringe might also be a nice addition on the short sides, depending on the decor style of your room.
