This warm and cozy wrap is made with four different blocks – each with its own Tunisian stitch pattern. Use three colors as shown in the model for a buffalo plaid effect, enjoy the texture on its own and work all in one color, or go a little crazy and use up scrap yarn from other projects and make each block a different color for a vibrant statement piece!

This pattern originally appeared as an Annie’s Attic Signature Design in 2023. Re-used with permission.
I am making a mini CAL from this pattern! There are four different blocks/stitch patterns and one will be published each Tuesday on October 14, October 21, October, 28 and November 4 2025. Each stitch pattern will have its own post and video, but I will keep adding the pattern chunks here so you don’t have to go to four different posts to gather the whole pattern! I hope you enjoy it!

Twisted Knit block – 12 sts x 13 rows = 4 inches in pattern st
Puff Stitch block – 10 TSS + 1 TPuff x 9 rows = 4 inches in pattern st
All blocks should finish at 7” square.
Pattern Notes:
The instructions for each block are written out separately – and only the forward passes are written out. For the Twisted Knit, Right Twist Columns and Right Twist Staggered blocks you will use the Standard Return (see Special Stitches). The Puff Stitch block has its own return (see Special Stitches).
In all cases the final row is the top of the block.
When working the edging it is important to note that not every block will have the same number of rows or foundation stitches. To get an even edging you will want the same number of sc across each block in Rnd 1, so adjustments may need to be made.
For Edging ch-3 counts as 1 dc.
Special Stitches:
Standard Return: Ch 1, *yo, draw through 2 loops on hook. Rep from * across until 1 loop remains.
Edge Stitch: On the forward pass insert your hook from right to left under the last vertical bar as if to TSS AND the strand behind it. Yo and draw up a loop.
Right Twist: insert hook through next vertical bar left to right instead of right to left, keeping the hook in front off the work as if to TSS.
Tunisian Puff Stitch TPuff – (yo, insert hook in designate sp, yo, draw up a loop) 6 times, 13 loops on hook.
Tunisian Simple Stitch Decrease TSSdec: on the forward pass insert your hook through 2 vertical bars at the same time, yo pull up a loop through both bars, decreasing 1 stitch.
Tunisian Twisted Knit Stitch TTK: on the forward pass insert hook to the left of the vertical bar and through the work to the right of that stitch, yo and draw up a loop.
Special Abbreviations:
RT – Right Twist
TSS – Tunisian Simple Stitch
TSSdec – Tunisian Simple Stitch decrease
TPuff – Tunisian Puff Stitch
TTK – Tunisian Twisted Knit Stitch
Abbreviations:
Ch – chain
Dc – double crochet
Rnd – round
Sc – single crochet
Sl st – slip stitch
Yo – yarn over
